Recurrent Infection
Introduction
Many believe that anti-biotics have revolutionised medical practice, but these beneficial drugs can have side-effects. We have perhaps been too inclined to use them very freely and have neglected to ask why certain people are especially vulnerable to infection. The answer leads us down an entirely different therapeutic path and helps us address the troublesome problem of recurrent infection.
Clearly, for an individual’s natural resistance to infection to be overcome, one of two circumstances must exist: either the infecting agent is unusually virulent, or the host is unusually vulnerable. The former may explain occasional infection, but the latter much more often accounts for regularly repeated infections in one individual.
Repeated antibiotics in such individuals may be not merely ineffective, but counter-productive. Consequent secondary fungal infections can become a troublesome part of their problem. A complementary approach is to restore resistance to infection by all available means. Once reasonable general immunity is restored it should be possible to maintain good health.
Before you start
The gut’s ability to absorb nutrients, whether it is from food or from the food state supplements, will be significantly improved if the body has first been cleansed of harmful toxins, and the intestinal tract replenished with healthy flora.
It is of particular benefit in today’s environment with our increased exposure to harmful toxins from so many sources. It is our recommendation to pre-empt any dietary/nutritional program with a cleanse, and to repeat it twice per year.
To this extent we recommend that before you start on your required formula you undertake our Detox Formula which involves 3 products that provide a very effective cleanse program that will enhance your health and wellbeing.

Homeopathy has been found to be of value with recurrent infection. A modified vegetarian diet is also beneficial.
Additional Help & Support
Regular exercise is known to reduce the incidence of bacterial and viral infection. High levels of stress are considered to increase the incidence of bacterial and viral infection. Exposure to heavy metals increases susceptibility to recurrent infection.
