Common Cold

Introduction
It is an infectious process causing inflammation of the upper respiratory tract. It is believed that over 150 different viral agents contribute to this condition, which is exacerbated by high levels of stress, and stretches to all walks of life.

Before you start
The gut’s ability to absorb nutrients, whether it is from food or from the food state supplements, will be significantly improved if the body has first been cleansed of harmful toxins, and the intestinal tract replenished with healthy flora.

It is of particular benefit in today’s environment with our increased exposure to harmful toxins from so many sources. It is our recommendation to pre-empt any dietary/nutritional program with a cleanse, and to repeat it twice per year.

To this extent we recommend that before you start on your required formula you undertake our Detox Formula which involves 3 products that provide a very effective cleanse program that will enhance your health and wellbeing.

Bromelain is extracted from the stem of the pineapple plant and is a proteolytic enzyme which can be used in the breakdown of protein to amino acids. Bromelain may help to reduce inflammation and may inhibit the ability of detrimental bacteria (such as Candida Albicans) to adhere to the lining of the small intestine. It may also be helpful in reducing the harmful substances that contribute to cardiovascular diseases by breaking down fibrins in the blood, preventing the build up of fibrinogen, a web-like collection of fibrins that are known to inhibit arterial blood flow.
